ABOUT

Healthiquettewithsandra is a blog on public health related issues and health tips majorly for women and children. This blog will focus extensively on educating my readers on essentials of regular medical check-ups, necessary preventive and control measures of some diseases peculiar to women and children, and information on healthy life style. In order to accomplish this, it is expedient that information be provided via this medium (blog) to women to enable them take charge of their own health and that of their children by accessing the relevant information on how they can live a more healthy and happy life style.

Women and men share many similar health problems, but women also have their own peculiar health issues, which deserve more public awareness. Women lives have changed over the centuries. Particularly in Africa and some other few Western continents, life was particularly difficult for most women; aside from the numerous dangers and diseases, women became wives and mothers often when they were just emerging from their own childhood. Many women had a large number of pregnancies which may or may not have been wanted. In the past, childbirth itself was risky and not infrequently, led to the death of the mother. Most women in the past did not live long enough to be concerned about menopause or old age. However, advancement in science and health researches have averted some these childbirth mortality and provided the needed knowledge on possible preventive measures to some these diseases.

It is important to note that health is wealth and without a healthy life it will be difficult to make wealth and enjoy it. Consequently, women will know the level of importance of paying attention that they need to attribute to their health should they want to live long and thrive in their homes, careers, business every other thing being equal.

In conclusion, I believe this blog is my way of giving back to the society and at the same time proffering solution to public health issues both locally and internationally by reaching out to a wider society; as it is known that the internet is a global village.
